I would say that should come after you have about 3-4 fully staffed guilds with at least tier one upgrades finished, if not upgraded to second tier for those juicier upgrades.ĭuring this time though you need to be using cheap flags to make sure your heroes are scouting out the area and responding to threats. Maybe you want to get out that blacksmith so you have some heavily armored dudes running around, but it's not worth the investment early on. Beasts roaming about? Lay down the rangers guild. Example: Graveyards nearby? Place down a cleric and warrior guild.

The kinds of enemies or dens will determine what kinds of guilds you need to put down. Those questions are vital to the developement of your kingdom. How much gold do you have? Do you see any enemies roaming nearby? Are there any creature dens in the immediate location? One of the main reasons to go with marketplace first, and almost always a guardhouse nearby because that building is so stupidly important for your kindgom, is to evaulate the situation. Unlike the original Majesty I haven't witnesssed heros immediately go purchase potions when they're purchased, but they still go relatively quickly after obtaining some cash. My first building is always the marketplace, being able to get health potions to your heros is key to early success. I had better results in the endgame.when i put 4 x 500 gold rewards on Buildings defense or Lairs destruction :pįrom my experience the first few minutes always pose the most difficulty, whether it be Majesty or Majesty 2. On many occasions, heroes take a long time to react. The rest was carefull planning and upgrading. Then i did the opposite : started to build a Guard Guild, then a Temple and produced 6 heroes who took care of the main business. I stopped the game after 5 minutes of this nonsence.

My second try was allmost like your exemple : i started building a defense tower right to my castle.and found myself in a funny never ending story, with squeletons endlessly attacking the 20% built tower my workers would repair. This game ended in a never ending multispawn everywhere. I had built my 1st defense tower too south, thus useless. In my 1st one i had my first hero being stupidly killed (they go to explore after a fight with 10% of health remaining after a fight, i've seen that several times), so squeletons from the cemetary added too the rats from the sewers and the squeletons from a close Ancient graveyard. In fact i took 3 tries to complete mission 2 (the caravans).
